The Z40 PRO uses a dedicated ASR5311 GPS chip (L1 band, 1575.42 MHz) for positioning accuracy of 5–50 meters in open fields — significantly more accurate than systems relying solely on LBS or WiFi. Indoors, the watch automatically switches to WiFi positioning (10–100 m), with LBS (100–1000 m) as a fallback option in urban areas. Via the companion app, you can define electronic zones (geofencing): as soon as your child enters or leaves a set zone, you will receive a real-time push notification. The physical SOS button on the side activates a loud alarm and automatically sends an emergency notification with the current location to all your designated contacts — no menu, no searching, one press is enough.

1.85" HD TFT Display with 280×320 pixels — larger, sharper, child-friendly

The Z40 PRO's display, with a 1.85-inch diagonal and 280×320 pixel resolution, is the largest and sharpest in the BLACKVIEW kids smartwatch range. The 1.85 mm tempered glass capacitive touchscreen is fully laminated (no air gap = better readability in sunlight) and features an anti-sweat coating — accurate operation even with wet or dirty fingers.

Six local watch faces are pre-installed; more can be downloaded via the app from an online library. The large icons and intuitive menu structure make operation understandable even for early readers.

IP68 Full Protection & Robust Build — withstands mud, drops, and downpours

The Z40 PRO is designed from the ground up as an outdoor-suitable kids watch. The IP68 certified casing (49.50 × 40.80 × 16 mm) is completely dustproof and protected against prolonged immersion in fresh water up to 1.5 m depth. The silicone watch strap with UV modification is resistant to sunlight, sweat, and daily use without discoloring or becoming brittle.

Two physical buttons (Power + SOS) provide tactile feedback and can be operated with gloves. For safety in the dark, three integrated LEDs are provided: a white 0.5W flashlight for the way home, plus two red 0.5W warning lights.

850 mAh Battery — over 7 days standby, 2 days continuous use

With a capacity of 850 mAh, the Z40 PRO offers the strongest battery in the BLACKVIEW kids smartwatch line. In Bluetooth standby, the watch lasts over 7 days without charging — ideal for school camps or weekend trips. With active location tracking, regular calls, and display usage, a solid 2 days of use remains.

Charging is done via the magnetic 4-PIN connector on the back of the casing, which also serves as a data transfer interface. Charging time is approximately 2 hours (0–100%). A low battery warning at 15% remaining capacity is automatically sent to the parent app.

The multilingual system includes 24 languages, including Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Greek, Czech, Croatian, Finnish, and Danish.

An integrated G-sensor for step counting and motion detection, a full-fledged app store for child-friendly extensions, a calculator, and 7 pre-installed educational games complete the package.
